Bengaluru Oota Company is built on the founder's personal connection to Gowda and Mangalorean culture and cuisine as a relationship that is memory, inheritance, and love in equal measure. The brief was to give that feeling a visual form: something that could carry the weight of that personal history without tipping into nostalgia, and celebrate the region without flattening it into a caricature. In our minds, this meant anchoring the design approach around illustration. The go-big-or-go-home colour palette synonymous with the region, illustrations inspired by the region's spices, flora, the architecture of a coastal kitchen, and the rhythms of the landscape. Every illustration is a small piece of the larger love letter. A love letter to Karnataka and the Coastal peninsula, whispered in every spice, sung in every melody, savoured in every bite.
