Shriya's work exists between two worlds; India's living textile traditions and the sensibility of a patron who prizes slow luxury over spectacle in London. Our work began in the archives. The Victoria and Albert Museum collections provided over a decade of documentation tracing the journey from Indian craft communities to the global luxury market through embroidery traditions, dyeing techniques, architectural motifs, the movement of flora and fruits through decorative art across centuries. Silk is alive in a way most fabrics aren't: it moves differently in light and it softens against skin in a way that reads on camera. Brought altogether from Shriya's living story as a coexistence of nature and humanity, the circulation of resources, and built a photographic philosophy around it.
